How to Turn Off System Recovery in XP If you are cleaning viruses and/or spyware off of your computer, you will need to turn off system recovery to delete all malware. To Turn Off System Recovery: Right click on My Computer and choose Properties. Click on the System Restore tab and check the box Turn off System Restore. Click on the "OK" button. When you have finished your cleanup chores, re-enable System Recovery. |
